Information provided directly
Search queries
A name, location, or other term entered into the search feature is sent to the third-party provider that operates that feature. This site does not keep a separate log of those query terms on its own systems.
Messages
An email or contact submission may be retained to answer the message and keep a record of the exchange. It is not shared outside the organization except when disclosure is legally required.
Technical data and cookies
Like many online services, the site and its service providers may receive technical information when a page loads. That information can include:
- IP address
- browser type and version
- device type and operating system
- pages viewed and approximate time spent
- referring page, if available
- date and time of the visit
Cookies and similar tools help measure how the service performs and how pages are used. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, though some features may respond differently when they are blocked.
How information is used
Information may be used to operate and improve the service, route a search to the correct partner, understand which material is useful, diagnose technical problems, prevent misuse, and display advertising that may be relevant to a visitor’s interests.
Outside links and partners
This site links to county jail, sheriff, police, court, corrections, and other government resources, as well as third-party tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the receiving service’s privacy practices control. Advertising or analytics partners may also use their own technologies across sites under their own policies.
Who may receive data
Personal data is not sold as a product. It may be processed by search partners that handle submitted searches, analytics providers, advertising networks, and government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information, but no internet-connected system can promise absolute security. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive information through an ordinary message channel.
Visitors under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted personal data, they may request review and deletion through the contact route.
Your privacy choices
A visitor may ask to see personal information held in a message record, request correction of an error, request deletion where appropriate, or ask about opting out of certain processing. Applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs can affect the response.
Policy changes
This notice may change as the service or applicable practices change. An updated notice will be posted here with a revised effective date.
